Why We Do This
Summit and Shore is committed to addressing the urgent need for mental health support within the military and veteran community. Every day, 17–18 veterans die by suicide, while 1 in 4 struggle with feelings of isolation. Among active-duty personnel, the crisis is equally severe—the U.S. Army reports a suicide rate of 30.4 per 100,000 soldiers, twice that of civilians.
We believe in the healing power of nature and community. By creating immersive outdoor adventures, we help transform isolation into connection, support, and renewal. This mission is led by the founding board members of Summit and Shore Alliance, who are dedicated to honoring those who serve.
