Page, AZ — The 501(c)(3) nonprofit Summit and Shore Alliance is proud to announce its new summer initiative: offering discounted boat rentals on Lake Powell for veterans and active-duty military personnel—while also welcoming civilian guests whose bookings directly support the cause. Proceeds help fund therapeutic outdoor programs for veterans nationwide, and because Summit and Shore is a registered nonprofit, civilian bookings qualify as tax-deductible contributions. It’s more than just a day on the water—it’s a chance to give back, receive a tax credit, and experience one of the most stunning waterways in the American Southwest.
From Bayliner cruisers ideal for relaxed cruising to the MasterCraft XStar premier surf boat for wake surfing and high-energy fun, Summit and Shore offers single-day and multi-day rentals out of Page, Arizona launching from Wahweap Marina. Each trip supports the organization’s national network of outdoor healing programs for those who’ve served.
“Lake Powell has always been my top pick for canyon exploring and surfing—it’s a playground for adrenaline junkies and outdoor souls like me,” says Alex, President of Summit and Shore Alliance. “We’re stoked to help others experience that same thrill—especially those who’ve served.”
More Than a Booking—It’s a Mission
Led by travel and adventure enthusiasts Jennifer and Alex, Summit and Shore Alliance is bringing heart and hands-on stewardship to the Page area. Their summer operations are fueled by a deep passion for nature and a strong belief in the healing power of outdoor adventure for veterans.
“This program is about more than renting boats,” says Jennifer, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Summit and Shore. “It’s about celebrating the beauty of our national parks and public lands—and giving back to the people who’ve protected them. I feel incredibly lucky to help create these kinds of experiences for those who’ve served.”
This summer’s launch builds on a successful winter program near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where Summit and Shore hosted free snowcat tours for veterans, bringing them into the backcountry to reconnect with nature—and with each other.
“I connected with military family I hadn’t even met yet,” says Sammy, a veteran who joined one of the Steamboat Springs tours. “There was instant camaraderie. We were just out there, exploring the mountains together—and it reminded me that I’m not alone. I still stay in touch with the group to this day.”
“Whether it’s a snowcat in the Rockies or a surf boat on Powell, we’re using adventure as a bridge to healing,” the team says. “Your booking helps us take that mission even further.”
